The Winnie the Pooh Room

A friend of mine asked me to show the other side of the kids' room. Well, now it looks a little bit different than the original Pooh Room, but only the accessories part. The painting, trees and leaves are still there. So, this is how it started: When we bought this house, I found a bell on the wall in one of the rooms in the basement. This bell must had been left here after the previous owners. The bell reminded me the Winnie the Pooh bell above his door, and that's when I decided about the theme for Jesse's room. I don't think you will see the bell until the last photo, Jesse with his daddy :-) how cute! It was little scary, because these walls were just built and painted. Steve has always bee very supportive :-) with my projects... after all, we can always repaint it right? So, this is the starting point ... white walls :-)

Jesse loves helping! Yeah, that's Mr. Jesse ! Can you believe it! :-)

Mommy ME :-) working her buns off...

... of course, Maestro Jesse painting...

Now, this one ... is a place where we went to look for wood to build stump furniture for Pooh's room... nope, we didn't pick this one :-) but this is a slice of a branch from a tree that was just cut here, on Main street about three years ago... amazing!

..... aaaaaaand, Daddy glazing the stump table and seats ...

Voila!!!!!!! Here is the room without the accessories...

... and of course, Jesse's Winnie the Pooh room in all it's beauty! He really was proud of his room. He never broke or ruined one decor part and he always proudly showed his room to everyone who came to visit us. Even customers! :-)

This is Jesse and his favorite cousin Casey :-) I can't believe they were this little! :-)

... and of course, playing with daddy in his room...

Love ya Jesse! Thank you for sharing your room with your brother Luky... he loves you for it so much! Especially when he sneaks into your bed into his!

Happy Easter Hunt!

It was so freezing this morning that I couldn't imagine Egg hunting! It really was too cold to leave the house so we did our own quick hunting. The boys were too cute not the share with you...

The boys' room

Finally! the photos are on the wall (actually, they've been there for a while, but I just couldn't get to it to clean their room and photograph it) :-). Anyway, the photos are hanging and we are enjoying the boys' new room look. I really like it... this was one on my big projects I planned for years... it's done and I think it paid off! :-) Enjoy.

Oh, and this is a photo of us so that you can compare the photos with the real crazy family :-). Wondering who took it? Our best friend "Self timer" We let the boys push it so that they are smiling, and they couldn't stop! I have never seen them so excited over being photographed! :-) Try it sometimes! :-)

I just thought I would add these two cute photos to this post :-)

Our Canvas Display

I have planned for this kind of collage for a looong time. I wanted something simple and beautiful for the boys room. I have to admit, I saw this idea on one Room makeover site and fell in love with it. It took me the whole day to choose and process the photos, but I can't express how happy I am with these. For now, they are sitting on our "Unfinished fireplace" :-) but I am hoping the place them in the boys' room over this weekend. Here is how it looks like... each panel is 11x22" in size. I really Love my "Little" Buck collage. Whatcha think? :-)

... and this one is just a shot of the fireplace with the photos that are probably gonna stay there :-)

My little Lax players ...

Not long ago, Lucas wasn't even walking yet. Now? He is so fast we have to keep an eye on him all the time! Otherwise he will run off to the road in a flash! I caught them playing lacrosse with their dad. Aren't they adorable? :-) I wonder how long they will enjoy this sport before they change their mind and ask for a Football or Soccer gear :-)

Catching up ...

I planned on retaking this shot for a loooong time. I really wanted to take another
shot before I put these Jerseys away. After I put them together with the originals taken about 2 years ago, I laughed so hard that Stephen ran all the way downstairs to check what happened to me. Well, judge yourself! Besides that the shirts are quite tight, Jesse hasn't changed much. On the other hand... Lucas is absolutely different :-) I can't get over the bald head! :-)

Ice-booting

We didn't have our skates on us this day, but it was too beautiful outside not to go and slide on this frozen pond. Of course, Mommy trying to show off fell so bad that she couldn't walk for a few days, but I am up and running again :-) I still have this beautiful photo sequence (taken by daddy) to remember the fall by. You can tell who really cared about mommy! :-) When Lucas found out we are all OK, he just left me and Jesse there like nothing happened. :-) I think this one is after Daddy ;-) right Hun?

Iceland on Canandaigua Lake

It's been so cold that the whole lake froze. The day we decided to go sledding was quite warm and the snow started melting. How much? Watchit! YUK!

We didn't go sledding ourselves, we called the boys' cousins, Casey and Conner to come along! It was so much fun! When we had enough we took a short walk on the lake.

After the lake cruise, we loaded the soaked bundles in the trunk and drove'em up the hill... :-) to our home, and they played inside for the rest of the day happily ever after.
THE END :-)

Cars and Motorcycles

The winter is so long and cold, but we had to get out for a while to test if our battery cars are still working. It was so cold, but the boys loved it. We cannot wait for better weather though... it would be so much more fun not wearing those heavy coats and hats!

... and this is how the boys took over our living room! Lucky we have so much room to ride inside! ... ;-) anything to keep the little devils busy!

Lucas turning 2!

I thought this day would never come, Lucas being loud, happy 2-yr old dude:-) When Lucas was born, he just cried and cried and cried .... three months gone... still cried... six months gone... cried... nine months .... STILL CRIED!!... the doctors said ... it was colic but colic should be gone by three months! Maybe, it was colic at the beginning, but then it just turned into training mommy for the future.... because that's how it was... even the doctors said to do anything to please him, so we did... and you know what? We still DO anything to please him :-) letting him to take over everything his big brother has, asking Jesse to do what Lucas wants... but I think it is time for the BIG change little BUD! :-) You are big enough and now, you are on your own... Jesse was punished enough for ya! Let's see who wins! :-) You just turned 2, this means, you are a big boy ... getting a haircut and all.... :-)
Well, Luky just celebrated his 2nd B-day. The most important part for mommy is to make a good memorable cake for the boys.... now... did I know what to do for LUKY? He doesn't have any hobbies yet.... maybe picking on Jesse or fighting over stuff, but making a cake out of it? Not sure.... so we came up with this cut little yellow-orange buggy car with wagons. He just discovered this car in our sun room and was soo impressed with it, that this gave me the idea. I am sure almost all of your children had one! He loved it and he loved his party, especially the part playing with his cousins. Happy Birthday LUKY! Love ya!

Luky got a haircut!

I never realized how funny Lucas looked with his long hair :-). He was born without anything on his head, so when he started growing hair, I just couldn't let it go and cut it! :-) I think it was time though... this isn't really his first haircut, but we went very slow, from long to little shorter and then even shorter. I think he looks so adorable with his haircut! :-) He actually looks like a little boy! :-)
