Ice-booting

We didn't have our skates on us this day, but it was too beautiful outside not to go and slide on this frozen pond. Of course, Mommy trying to show off fell so bad that she couldn't walk for a few days, but I am up and running again :-) I still have this beautiful photo sequence (taken by daddy) to remember the fall by. You can tell who really cared about mommy! :-) When Lucas found out we are all OK, he just left me and Jesse there like nothing happened. :-) I think this one is after Daddy ;-) right Hun?

Iceland on Canandaigua Lake

It's been so cold that the whole lake froze. The day we decided to go sledding was quite warm and the snow started melting. How much? Watchit! YUK!

We didn't go sledding ourselves, we called the boys' cousins, Casey and Conner to come along! It was so much fun! When we had enough we took a short walk on the lake.

After the lake cruise, we loaded the soaked bundles in the trunk and drove'em up the hill... :-) to our home, and they played inside for the rest of the day happily ever after.
THE END :-)

Cars and Motorcycles

The winter is so long and cold, but we had to get out for a while to test if our battery cars are still working. It was so cold, but the boys loved it. We cannot wait for better weather though... it would be so much more fun not wearing those heavy coats and hats!

... and this is how the boys took over our living room! Lucky we have so much room to ride inside! ... ;-) anything to keep the little devils busy!

Lucas turning 2!

I thought this day would never come, Lucas being loud, happy 2-yr old dude:-) When Lucas was born, he just cried and cried and cried .... three months gone... still cried... six months gone... cried... nine months .... STILL CRIED!!... the doctors said ... it was colic but colic should be gone by three months! Maybe, it was colic at the beginning, but then it just turned into training mommy for the future.... because that's how it was... even the doctors said to do anything to please him, so we did... and you know what? We still DO anything to please him :-) letting him to take over everything his big brother has, asking Jesse to do what Lucas wants... but I think it is time for the BIG change little BUD! :-) You are big enough and now, you are on your own... Jesse was punished enough for ya! Let's see who wins! :-) You just turned 2, this means, you are a big boy ... getting a haircut and all.... :-)
Well, Luky just celebrated his 2nd B-day. The most important part for mommy is to make a good memorable cake for the boys.... now... did I know what to do for LUKY? He doesn't have any hobbies yet.... maybe picking on Jesse or fighting over stuff, but making a cake out of it? Not sure.... so we came up with this cut little yellow-orange buggy car with wagons. He just discovered this car in our sun room and was soo impressed with it, that this gave me the idea. I am sure almost all of your children had one! He loved it and he loved his party, especially the part playing with his cousins. Happy Birthday LUKY! Love ya!

Luky got a haircut!

I never realized how funny Lucas looked with his long hair :-). He was born without anything on his head, so when he started growing hair, I just couldn't let it go and cut it! :-) I think it was time though... this isn't really his first haircut, but we went very slow, from long to little shorter and then even shorter. I think he looks so adorable with his haircut! :-) He actually looks like a little boy! :-)

After the holidays...

I have been waiting for this moment for veeeery long time. The holidays are over and I am sitting here at my best friend computer, eating my husbands best spaghetti sauce (without the spaghetti part) :-), listening to the sound of fire in our freshly built fireplace and my favorite lifetime movies :-). It is close to midnight, and everyone is sound asleep and if I had any Christmas cookies, I would definitely munch them all. I just can't wait to post few photos we took over the holidays. I know I haven't been too good updating, but the business is keeping me so busy and so are the boys. All three! :-) (my Hub included).
First I would like to share a recipe for Czechoslovakian Bars, grandma made for us. They were sooo good, that we had to ask twice for a new batch to photograph them. They actually disappeared withing few hours form the time Steve's mom delivered them. She found this recipe some place and tried them... and you know what? They really are one of the best cookies I have had! :-) I guess it has something to do with the Czechoslovakian part :- Grandma, thank you so much! We really loved them!

These are the famous "Czechoslovakian Bars", and the recipe:

Don't we look like we baked the cookies? :-) We just played cooks that day :-)

We also got to see Santa, like every year. We take photo every time to see how the little men have grown. Wanna see the progress? :-) It is sooooooo funny! :-)

After the fun sequence, it wouldn't be fair to skip the rest of this year's Santa visit. The trick in taking a good photo with Santa is that we always come the last ones at the end of Santa's hours and he lets us play and take lots of photos. Last year, Jesse was helping Santa with his bag full of presents and this year he helped him to take letters out of Santa's mailbox. Cool huh? :-) Jesse is such a big helper! :-) He just LOVES helping! :-)

This year's helper
Last year's helper

... aaaaaaaand.... here is couple more photos for fun, Jesse and Lucas writing letter to Santa, and daddy opening Jesse's gift from school. They made these beautiful calendars and each month had a different picture made out of hand prints. BEAUTIFUL! We LOVE IT JESSE! AND YOU TOO! :-)

Bad hair day?

Have you ever had one? :-) I am sure if you see my Saturday's photo, you won't think of your bad hair as a bad hair day. I washed my hair the night before and was sooo tired to air dry, that I fell asleep. This is how I looked next morning. Of course, it didn't end there! A good friend of ours, Dicky, called if he could take the boys to cut a Christmas tree for his family. "Of course", I said, but I forgot my wonderful hairdo. I promised him to post this photo on my blog. He is a big joker, so here it goes Dicky! One just for you! :-)
This photo was taken by my son Jesse :-) RASCAL!

Dicky picking up the boys...

Jesse, ready to cut!

This is the Lucas I know! I am not sure why he was screaming on this particular photo, but I can guess. He didn't want to walk... He wants to be carried all the time! Did I guess right Dicky? ;-) It looks like fun!

... but I'd rather sit at my fireplace and drink hot chocolate! OH, speaking of hot chocolate....

Big Enough? Dicky is always joking I am making miniature hot chocolate, so here is one on special order! :-) I brought this 1 liter mug from Czech while visiting last winter... I have always stored tea bags in it, but it finally came handy! :-) I think it was so heavy, Dicky couldn't hold it with one hand! Watch his painful expression! :-) Yummy yummy boys! HOT CHOCOLATE ANYONE? :-) I don't think he will ask for another one anytime soon... ;-)

Oh, and one more little thing. Since I am here embarrassing myself already, I promised Dicky to put my senior photos on here, so that he can show to Bethy, his wify. :-) Knock yourself out Dicky! :-) I didn't think I looked that bad back then, until Dicky couldn't catch his breath while looking at my beautiful graduation photos :-)
This is me in 1992 :-)

Snowy NY

It's been so cold these days! the boys just couldn't wait to go outside and showel our drive way!
